Day 1 of disc golf
The course winds through Tradewinds Park, a favorite walking spot for Danielle. Now, she can combine her walks with disc golf. Because, as Mark has said more than once, "I can't just walk. I need to do something else." Disc golf is a bit like golf in the sense there are "holes" (called "baskets"), tee boxes, par, etc. Instead of using golf clubs and balls, we use a disc that is much like a frisbee but comes in various weights and shapes. The heavier, more aerodynamic discs are drivers, the more lightweight ones are putters. On the peninsula at right is hole #7, where Danielle lost her driver two days after buying it. Sigh.
Mark drives in his own particular ... idiom.
Danielle practices her drive.
Before the driver fell into the swampy water, it roosted in a tree. Mark, the hero, felled it with a large rock.
Final score for the day:
Mark, 54, even par
Danielle, 38 over par
